As if no one’s watching

OsloHorns commissioned a piece for their concert “OsloHorns’ Night at the Opera” in November 2021. Throughout my career, I’ve been entertained by the little episodes on a stage that have nothing to do with the music: general things like misplaced sheet music, page-turners not keeping up, and stagehands struggling with music stands, but also instrument-specific quirks – like horn players having to spin their horns to empty the water that collects inside.
